Health Monitoring
Regular veterinary health assessments ensure early detection and prevention of common livestock conditions. Our health monitoring programme includes systematic body condition scoring, reproductive health tracking, parasite management and vaccination schedules appropriate for indigenous breeds. Individual animal health records document growth patterns, lactation cycles and wellness indicators, enabling data-driven management decisions that support both animal welfare and sustainable milk production from our preserved indigenous cattle population.

Indigenous Housing
LPDC provides naturally ventilated housing designed specifically for indigenous cattle comfort in Deccan plateau conditions. Traditional shelter designs with adequate shade, cross-ventilation and dry bedding protect animals from extreme weather while maintaining the natural air circulation essential for respiratory health. Housing layouts respect herd social structures, allowing cattle to maintain natural groupings and hierarchies that reduce stress and support animal welfare throughout all seasons and production stages.
